Job Description

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Repairing, rebuilding and overhauling vehicles.
  • Performing maintenance on equipment and vehicles as required.
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing the source and extent of repairs required.
  • Replacement of worn or broken parts and vehicle systems.
  • Maintenance of cleanliness in workshop areas as required.
  • Performing duties with the Emergency response team as required.
  • Maintaining accurate records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
  • Using tools commonly used in the auto body trade.

The ideal candidate should:

  • Have a driving license, ‘B’ Category.
  • Be Computer Literate.
  • Have an O Level standard of Education and Mechanical Diploma ideally from MCAST or similar qualifications.
  • Have good communication skills, both verbal and written in Maltese and English.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of all types of vehicle repair and fleet operations.
  • Self-motivated and an enthusiastic individual with ability to work cooperatively in a team.
  • Diagnostic fault-finding ability.
  • Possess knowledge of safe working methods and procedures.

Responsibilities of the Role

The selected candidate will form part of our Customer Service Team, maintaining regular contact with customers to ensure we are always meeting their shipment expectations. Backed by a fully-fledged team, the individual will also proactively handle client requests including the preparation of quotations for both import and export bookings.

The person holding this role is expected to enhance customer relations, deliver a positive experience to all customers and work closely with our overseas agents to ensure a smooth execution of the end-to-end shipment lifecycle.

The chosen candidate will:

  • Prepare and deliver quotes and agreements;
  • Build long-term relationships with existing and new customers;
  • Provide operational support;
  • Report on all actions and developments;
  • Participate in client and agent meetings;
  • Contribute to finding solutions for customers.
  • Highly fluent in the English language

  • Excels in excellent client service;
  • Has the ability to pre-empt problems and to find solutions whilst demonstrating a high level of integrity;
  • Is self-motivated, results-oriented, and determined to reach departmental goals;
  • Possesses highly effective relationship skills so as to communicate, influence and collaborate positively and sensitively with stakeholders, and building relationships based on trust;
  • Shows drive and initiative combined with a good level of business discipline, willing to go the extra mile to succeed;
  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently and under pressure;
  • Able to prioritize and manage time efficiently.
  • Flair for sales

Preferred Experience

Applicants with experience in customer service as well as the Freight service industry, will be given preference.
