For a well established PwC APPDEV team we are looking for experienced DevOps engineers. The APPDEV team closely cooperates with the PwC Digital organization that focuses on incubating and development of digital products. Currently it encompases over 30 product and development teams distributed across the globe – the main locations being US, Czechia, Spain, India and China.

The main focus for this role is to solve and support DevOps and infrastructure development tasks during the development of the products as well as supporting the operations of the products. We typically deploy DevOps/Infra engineers as part of our development team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Azure and on-premise infrastructure management.
  • Design and maintain standard CI/CD processes to deliver microservices-based applications.
  • Analysis and integration of modern technologies as opportunities to improve
  • Instilling DevOps culture within the engineering function.
  • Working in agile and cross-functional teams

Job Requirements:

Core technologies we use (you’ll need some prior experience with):
  • Kubernetes
  • Docker
  • Azure

Other technologies we use:

  • Jenkins, Azure DevOps, RabbitMQ, Kafka, maven, JFrog Artifactory, Elastic, Kibana, Tomcat, Kerberos, AKS, Hashi Vault and Terraform

What you will bring:

  • Experience with Apache Spark, Snowflake or other “big data” technologies is a plus
  • Strong programming background in Java, Python is a plus as well
  • Good Linux system administrator skills and TCP/IP network fundamentals
  • Knowledge on software architectures based on microservices (autoscaling, service discovery, etc..)
  • Excellent understanding of SDLC processes, release strategies, software development at scale, Continuous Integration and Delivery approaches for cloud-native applications
  • Experience with SQL databases
  • Source control – git, svn
  • English – good written and verbal as we work with international teams on daily basis
